What is it?
The Oncology Interactive™ Education Series (OIES™)
is award-winning cancer education software. Developed
by jack digital productions inc. in conjunction
with more than 300 oncologists and health professionals
in Canada, the United States and Europe, the series
has won numerous awards and has been certified
by the United Nations Educational, Scientific
and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). The series
is available in 24 titles, each offering over
25 hours of content that give users a comprehensive
understanding of all the major forms of cancer
and their treatment. Featuring interactive graphics,
3D anatomical representations, animations and
video interviews, the titles cover prevention
and early detection, diagnosis, treatment and
supportive care, and bring clarity to complex
ideas and procedures.

Who is it for?
The series is divided into two levels that address the specific needs of cancer patients, their caregivers, health care professionals, medical students, clinics and institutions. Written in clear and accessible language, the General Level gives patients and their caregivers the information they need to understand cancer and its treatment, participate actively in their own care and communicate effectively with their health care team. The General+Clinical Level includes all of the content in the General Level as well as advanced information that can be used by health care professionals, medical students, and patients who are more advanced learners. Patients wishing to upgrade from the General Level to the General+Clinical Level can do so via a simple and convenient Internet download.

The series is available in several different formats.
If you are a patient, family member or friend
looking for comprehensive cancer information,
the titles are available in CD-ROM format
and licensed for individual use.
Doctors, hospitals and clinics can also meet the
needs of their staff and patients, giving everyone
access to this engaging and comprehensive series.
In order to satisfy the diverse needs of health
care professionals and their institutions, multi-user
licenses are available for individual titles on
CD-ROM, the complete series on CD-ROM, or the
installation of multiple OIES titles on a computer
(LAN) network. This flexibility has brought
the OIES™ to hundreds of cancer institutions and
countless individual users worldwide.
