What Do Oncology Nurses Have to Say About the OIES™?

The Oncology Interactive™ Education Series (OIES™) was recently showcased at the Oncology Nursing Society's (ONS) 2002 Annual conference that took place in Washington, D.C. and attracted 214 exhibitors and 5800 nurses.

Conference attendants were encouraged to fill out a survey regarding the various aspects of the OIES™ such as its perceived value in patient and clinical education, its ease of use and its best attributes.

On average, the nurses surveyed spent 36% of their workdays on education–a substantial amount of time spent away from more pressing issues. The introduction of the OIES™ into the workplace could remedy this situation by giving patients the opportunity to learn about cancer at their own pace.
